I opened one eye and then the other and each was not easy. My brain had switched from off to just barely registering. My body was not registering at all. It was true. There I was lying there with no desire to move one bit. I had a “dietary hangover”.
Isagenix is a world of wonderful things and life is amazing when you are firing on all cylinders. Isagenix helps you achieve just that. A body that is firing at a rapid rate of succession will lead you on your way to success. The product does just that until you think you have it all figured out.
It had been 30 days of cleanse and 30 days of bliss. A few hard days had come and gone. Over the 30 days I had a muffin twice, a late night bowl of cereal twice and a few extra items during a few meals, but overall I stayed the course. Because of this I was richly rewarded with a great body, a clear mind and wonderful way of feeling day to day. Then it happened!
I went to a business seminar that was catered for breakfast and lunch. Mmmmm. Big, thick pieces of white french toast with powdered sugar. To the right of that was syrup and berry spread to add on top. Danishes, some fruit and a bottle of concentrated orange juice. I certainly felt overfull when I was done.
That did not stop my lunch though. I big sandwich with wheat bread, but not whole wheat, chips, fruit juice and decent slice of chocolate, caramel pie. Wow! - Dinner was a shake, but the damage was done.
I awoke or so I thought feeling like crap. I had slept for 8 hours, but I still was just wasted. Up until today I had been using Isagenix by the plan and gratefully, only sleeping 6 hours. Today I could not move. Why, why, what was different…then I realized I had a “dietary hangover.”
The correlation was huge for me because I now know personally that your nutritional diet is everything. I knew this before, but my body was now the key indicator. It is the same as if you do not consume alcohol for a long time, then when you do you are really tipsy after one drink. Same thing here…eat that piece of pie and you will have a slower time the next morning.
All of this leads me into “positive/negative anchors” and how I use them to succeed. Wikipedia defines anchors as:
Anchoring
Anchoring is the process by which a particular state or response is associated (anchored) with a unique anchor. An anchor is most often a gesture, voice tone or touch but could be any unique visual, auditory, kinesthetic, olfactory or gustatory stimulus. It is claimed that by recalling past resourceful states one can anchor those states to make them available in new situations. A psychotherapist might anchor positive states like calmness and relaxation, or confidence in the treatment of phobias and anxiety, such as in public speaking. Proponents state that anchors are capable of being formed and reinforced by repeated stimuli, and thus are analogous to classical conditioning.
I certainly feel that I want to move away from the way I felt in bed (not being able to immedialty jump into my day) and move towards the feeling of limitless energy and a clear state of mind.
To do this I am going to remember that each time I decide to put something in my body that I know is not right for it that I may just not be able to motivate as well the next day. I will envision being less successful, less motivated, less inspired and less of me. This is a strong negative anchor for this scenario. Poor nutritional choices = poor performance.
I will also set a positive anchor. One where when I decide, to put great nutritional items into my body, I will be the person at the finish line of all my goals with my fists pumped into the air and my life a complete success. I will anchor that great nutrition = great success. It all starts in the body.
Isagenix provides just that. I nutritional line that enables success on many levels.
Exercise: Write down three things that you want to move away from. Write down three things that you want to move towards. Now write down a negative anchor for the things you want to move away from and then write down a positive anchor for the things that you want to move towards. Finally, set you anchors by focusing on them and how you will feel with each of them. This will help train your mind and body on exactly where you want to go.
