Day 26 – Five Days of “Shake Days” – 2nd Round of Cleanse Coming Soon!…

Some of you may have been wondering what has been going on with my 30 Day Cleanse and where am I at with it?  For the last few days I have been focusing in on some of the fundamentals of what is happing in your life, in your body and in your Isagenix Business.

Maybe the reason I have not written about what I have been doing in regards to the product is because my meal planning, meal consumption and overall daily meal system has gone from 100% focus to simply put…”It’s on Auto Pilot!”

After your two cleanse days you then move right into five days of “Shake Days” where you consume one shake in the morning (I add a small amount of tropical fruit to mine). A great nutritious meal at lunch and then one shake in the evening.   During the day you throw in a handful of raw almonds, two carrots and of course 64oz of water spread out over eight glasses during your day.

This routine has become so second nature that I have not even thought about it, but now that I am thinking about it I realize what an amazing system this is.  When your mind turns something that has to be in in your conscience into your sub-conscience…that is a powerful thing.

Detailed Shake Day: – What I have been consuming for the last five days.

6:15am – One shot of Ionix Supreme.  This is my favorite part of my day and this whole nutritional system.  It is one ounce of pure nutritional delight for me.  I fill up a small measured cup with Ionix Supreme and then swish it back into my mouth.  I let it sit there quietly for 15 seconds to let the cold temperature from the fridge regulate to my mouths temp.  Then I swish it back and forth for up to one minute.  There are a few reasons for this.  First is that your mouth is the best place for something to absorb into your bloodstream and body and the quickest way is through the thin membranes that surround your mouth.  The second is that, while this absorption is happening each area that is touched by the Ionix Supreme has this amazing, energetic tingle that occurs.  I even gargle to make sure that the back of my mouth feels 100% refreshed and because of this my body feels that it is…about to be 100% refreshed.

6:20am – Supplements- I consume one IsaFlush supplement and one Accelerator supplement with a *8oz glass of water. (#1)

6:30am – The making of my first shake.  I use one electric hand blender (although I hear the IsaBlender is way cool), one 32oz mixing cup, two scoops of IsaLean Vanilla Shake powder, one fresh banana and a few frozen fruits from the frozen Organic Tropical mix that I bought at Whole Foods. Then I add enough water to cover the batch in the mixing cup and fire up the blender.  One minute later I am drinking a cool, consistent, creamy vanilla fruit shake. I am then ready to start my day.

9:30am – Handful of Raw Almonds. Before Isagenix I was a person who had six small meals a day.  So I like to have a handful of almonds (5-7) at about three hours after my shake.  It is important to note that this must be RAW ALMONDS.  Roasted, salted or any other form of modification to the almonds ruins its true effects.  Raw, raw and more raw please. 8oz glass of water. (#2)

10:30am – One Medium Raw Carrot.  I love the crunch factor of a raw carrot.  I have even moved to the point of not even peeling it.  I simply grab it from my lunch box and start munching away.  The action of chewing this food sends a signal to the brain that you are consuming food and then your brain sends a signal to tell your body that you are no longer hungry.  Because raw carrots require so much crunch, crunch then it makes sense that one medium carrot can do wonders for your body and overall reduction of food intake. 8oz glass of water. (#3)

12:00 Noon – One Magnificent Delicious Salad - I spend 20-30 minutes every morning prepping my meals for the day.  This includes the two shakes, bottle for water, carrots, almonds and of course one delicious meal. 8oz glass of water. (#4)

Recently salads have moved to the top of my lunch list.  I absolutely love them.  I grab a round plastic container and fill it with organic mixed field greens that I purchase in bulk from Costco.  Next step is to add fresh vine ripe tomatoes cut in eighths and spread across the greens.  The red color immediately jumps to the top.  At this point I look in the fridge and look for other items that can add to this salad.  Most of the time this list can include, fresh or steamed broccoli, sprinkle of cous cous, red or white onion and yellow squash.

The next few items are almost always mandatory. Slices of avocado, a small handful of sliced almonds or walnuts and about ten red grapes.

I then finish up the salad with fresh ground pepper, fresh ground sea salt and finally Extra Virgin Olive Oil (cold pressed).  The perfect dressing.  Throw in a fork from home and you are good to go.

1:30pm - Supplements- I consume one IsaFlush supplement and one Accelerator supplement with a 8oz glass of water. (#5)

3:30pm – Handful of Raw Almonds. 8oz glass of water. (#6)

4:30pm – My Second Raw Carrot is Consumed.  I love the crispness of eating Whole Raw Foods. 8oz glass of water. (#7)

5:45pm – Chocolate Shake Bliss -I save the chocolate shake for dinner.  If I know I will be away from the house then I will pre-portion the ingredients for later shake making on site. (Note: It is very important to consume your shake within 10 minutes of blending for all the active enzymes to work properly, therefore making a shake and putting it in the fridge does not work well).  The recipe is very simple.  Two scoops of IsaLean Chocolate Shake Mix and 12-16oz of water.  Mmmmmmm!

7:45pm – 8oz glass of water. (#8) – This helps curb my appetite before I go to bed and also satisfies my need for 64oz of water in a day.

This daily routine holds me….day in and day out.  It really becomes auto pilot for both your routine and mind frame

*It is important to note that I sometimes consume more than 8oz of water each time and thus may consume over 100oz of water depending on what I am doing in a day.  Isagenix makes the 8×8oz of water recommendation so that you stay hydrated, help flush out toxins and best of all it replaces the urge to fill your body with other foreign liquids.

Exercise:  Write down what you are consuming in a day on your shake days.  It will really help you stay focused.  Just when you might deter from the plan this written affirmation of your plan, holds you steadily in place.

Comments to Write:  Please feel free to write about a few of the items you consume on Shake Days.

  1. I am on the 9 day cleanse. This is my first round of 2 cleanse days – back to back.
Today is the second day of the cleanse … it is 2PM. I have been very good but now I’m famished. The snacks are OK but I am craving something. Could I do a shake now and then finish the cleanse day as planned? Will this ruin everything??

  2. RT:

2pm is the hardest time to get through. It is the time where your body naturally wants to slow down due to the afternoon. I find that if I had plenty of water and I do another round of the cleanse drink you can push through. Once I got to 5pm it was home free.

I do want to say that the day after my cleanse is a glorious day and you have so much energy you cannot believe it.

Hang in there the payoff is worth it in more ways than you know.

  3. Adding to your question about doing a shake…it would be better to eat a small salad if you need to break from the day. Save the shake for first thing in the morning tomorrow, it will taste so much better and mentally you will have won.

  4. Kenyon,

Thanks for your response … I decided to end the cleanse at 4PM. on the second day. I had a sensible dinner and some fruit for dessert. Since I am on the 9 day cleanse, I have 2 more cleanse days (back to back) coming up next week. Someone mentioned that a cucumber or hard boiled egg would not mess up the cleanse. Do you know if the cleanse days MUST be back to back? Other than that, I feel great and results are obvious. Today was a shake day and for the first time, I had an Isagenix yogurt covered meal bar for lunch. Delicious and quite filling taken with water in between.
