At 9:15am sharp Penny called me to fill me in on this very important day. Stephanie was also on the call and it is always great to hear her voice. It was a big day for me because it had been five weeks since Penny first came to me and asked me for my business card.
Why she was asking for my business card I was not sure, but It is very important to recognize who are your ”Life Scouts” are and how they play key roles in your life. Penny and Stephanie are certainly my L.S. (Read more about this concept in my writing about this in the Nike: Take It To The Next Level commercial)
I had taken all the correct steps to get to this point. The only thing left was commitment. In all the adventure activities I do there is always a commitment level at one major point that needs to happen. When I am BASE Jumping its that simple motion of leaning forward far enough that you cannot physically stay on the object. For skydiving its letting go of the plane you are holding onto. When I was lit on fire it was all about the second the lighter ignited to the heavily fuel soaked clothes.
The common thread through all these adventures is there is a moment where you “just decide”. Once you decide then everything from that point becomes freefall, bliss and being present. You have mentally gone past the point of no return. There is a sense of clear mind, present emotions and a sense of freedom. All the things that are holding you back mentally and emotionally are now gone.
Now that point of decision is a big one, but the journey has just begun. It is very important for you to keep a level frame of mind and focus on what is coming up and coming fast. During a BASE jump the ground is rushing up at you, the rocks from the cliff speed by and soon the small images of trees become reality right in front of your face. The plan is to act, fly and deploy your parachute successfully to keep you from imminent death.
The same thing goes for business and life. You need to absolutely push yourself far enough that there is no returning to where you once came. Then you are in freefall where life is great, but you still need to act (deploy your personal ”life parachute” in order to stay safe and live to decide on another adventure…to decide to jump again on another day.
So the commitment panned out and I did get going on my new Journey with Isagenix. Overall, I feel very excited to have decided to make this apart of my life.
