Thursday – August 7th, 2008
I took my hand off the steering wheel and reached over to the car stereo to turn up the music. It felt good to just drive, relax and listen to music come through those speakers. I had just dropped my kids off at school and was heading off to work myself.
My time in the car is my time to think. It is the time that I just sit and take it all in. I often run new ideas through my head and bounce them off my “inner wal”l to see what kind of return I get. Does the ball bounce straight back to me, thus giving me great feedback or does it take a funny hop and roll back to my feet, thus giving me…not so solid feedback.
As I started up over the overpass and into the turn lane the light turned red and I came to a stop at the front of the line. I looked around and realized that I was one light too early to turn. I meant to pass the on-ramp to the Interstate and instead to get on the frontage road. Darn it! What was I going to do? I looked to my right, but there was a huge semi next to me that would no way allow me to merge back into the traffic that was going straight.
I stared at the red light and watched in slow motion as the pixels dropped from the red light to the green light. It was time to go and inevitably get on the Interstate. It was then that a band of energy formed across my chest and gave me a great feeling in my life. I was thinking about my journey with Isagenix and this energy appeared and was clearly telling me to take note and understand it for what it was. I knew then that this was the road I needed to follow and to take control.
I knew then that I was about to transfer from the frontage road of everyday life to the fast pace, straight line, goal in site of the Interstate. This new intense speed was going to allow me to reach my goals and destinations quicker. I was going to be able to shift up to high gear and add some serious gas.
I often look for indicators or direction in my life by following these funny things, coincidences that pop up. This one was smack dab in the middle of my view. Energy in my chest + getting on the highway = speed for growth and direction in life.
